“From Sputnik to Facebook:
Sixty Years of Relating to Russia”
Sixty years ago this summer, the Soviet Union designed the first artificial satellite, inaugurating decades of a new, complex, high‐tech space race with the United States. This multimedia presentation tracked the challenges and potentials of this crucial cultural and technological relationship from the 1950s to today.
Following the talk and scholarship awards, there was a brief business meeting. Refreshments were served.
