The Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Greater Austin

Scholarship Program

The Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Greater Austin is committed to the encouragement and promotion of academic excellence in the Austin area. Central to this mission is the Association’s scholarship program which honors and facilitates academic achievement in the region. The scholarship program supports the ideals of Phi Beta Kappa, "Love of wisdom, the guide of life." The chapter has established an endowment fund with the Austin Community Foundation to facilitate growth of a persistent source of funding for the scholarships, as well as welcoming specific named scholarships from donors.

The Association currently offers High School scholarships to graduating AISD high school seniors, Adult Baccalaureate scholarships to adult students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the liberal arts or sciences, and starting in 2018, an award to a local high school teacher demonstrating an exceptional commitment to the humanities and natural sciences.

Students who wish to be considered for one of these awards should submit the appropriate application form to the Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Greater Texas.
